Jorge M. Abril

Mr. Abril founded the law firm in 1991 to concentrate exclusively in healthcare revenue cycle matters and general collection litigation. Since then, the firm has represented local, regional, national and international companies in a wide range of issues.

Mr. Abril's experience in the collection arena dates back to 1977, when he began working with Shafer & Simon, Inc., a collection management firm that represented numerous companies including healthcare providers, primarily in South Florida.

During the early years of practice, he sharpened his litigation skills by bringing hundreds of cases to trial. As a senior trial associate for a leading South Florida firm, Mr. Abril had the opportunity to represent the United States in the collection of federally guaranteed loans where he brought cases to trial under original jurisdiction.

Mr. Abril is a frequent lecturer in areas including ERISA and managed care litigation, healthcare revenue cycle matters, collection/collection litigation and post-judgment remedies.
